Roberto Bongianino began studying classical accordion at the age of 5 years .
At 10 he began his concert career as an endorser for an accordion company in Vercelli and ranked high in several national competitions , as well as performing with dance orchestras throughout Italy .
In love with blues , jazz, improvisation , Roberto Bongianino taught himself the electric guitar and electric bass and founded an R & B group in which he was responsible for the arrangements of the horn section and with whom he performed as a solo guitarist , in 1996 -99, at many music venues in North Italy .

From 1999 to 2006 Roberto was part of the tribute to the Beatles' band Revolver ( solo electric guitar , accordion, sitar , harmonica) , with whom he performed about 200 concerts throughout Italy and Switzerland in clubs , theaters , and squares .
He has also had several recording studio and live collaborations with folk , rock, jazz , tango, pop bands.

Current projects:
- Animalunga : acoustic trio with Aldo Mella on doublebass and Fabio Giachino on piano . Making of CDs " Il mio posto nel mondo" ( DDE Records in September 2007 with Alberto Tafuri on piano ), "Market Polka " ( ZonediMusica, February 2011 ) and concerts .

-Paolo Bonfanti Band (accordion and guitar ). Making of CDs " Canzoni di schiena" (2009) , " Takin 'a Break " (2011) and concerts .

- Maurizio Verna Duo ( 10-string guitar ) Roberto Bongianino (accordion , bandoneon ): between traditional music and improvisation . Making of CD " ConcCorDanze" ( ZonediMusica, February 2011 ) and concerts .

- Enea Leone trio ( 2 guitars and bandoneon ), Italian tour 2010
- " From Mali to Mississippi " (accordion and guitar ) acoustic blues band with guitarist Alex Gariazzo and drummer Massimo Serra of the Treves Blues Band.
- Laura Conti & Eivador , music, traditional Piedmontese group , making of CD called " Nose Amor " and concerts ( including Night of the Taranta 2007)
- Co-author and performer (accordion and guitar ) of the soundtrack of the documentary film "Sor riso Amaro" by Matteo Bellizzi , presented at the 2003 Venice Film Festival , the Museum of Modern Art in New York and broadcast by RAI television.
- Accordion player for Orchestra - Lab of the Province of Biella ( OPLAB)
- Theatrical performance " Mucche ballerine" ( the French theater troupe Sinequanon and musicians Stefano Risso and Christian Thoma ; winning performance of " The game of the Theatre " Festival of Torino in 2007 , Italian Tour in 2008 , Avignon Festival 2008)
- Tango Zero Hour Quintet : Tribute to Astor Piazzolla
- Accordionist of singer-songwriter Marco Berruti , making of CD called " So for me " ( second in the 2003 Tenco Prize section . " Première") and concerts in Italy and Europe .
